The mechanical properties (stiffness, damping and stability) of isolated rubber bearing were studied based on pseudo-static and dynamic tests. A simplified formula for estimation of the critical vertical stress in the bearing was developed with considering their horizontal displacement, shape coefficient and rubber modulus, a reasonable design limit, which is more conservative than test results, can be obtained by the formula. Considering the non-linear property and uncertainty of structures and ground motions, the Latin Hypercube sampling technique was used to obtain a sampling set, which contained isolated and non-isolated buildings with different storey and seismic design levels. The seismic responses of buildings and their reliability for different limit states were calculated, the numerical results indicated that seismic reliability of isolated buildings is more than those of non-isolated buildings, even if the design level of upper structures of isolated buildings decreased and their storey increased. The study results can be used for improving the design of isolated buildings and developing method of the performance-based design
基于国际上新近提出的性态抗震的理论框架,研究隔震建筑的性态设防标准、性态抗震设计验算方法和抗震可靠度等基本问题。研究内容涉及地震工程领域尚未圆满解决的苦干难点和焦点,对工程抗震理论与方法的深入发燕尾服进行新的探索,为建筑隔震技术的开发应用提供新的研究基础。
