The Tethyan orogenic belt, located in the southern area of the Eurasian continent, is a typical tectonic domain, characterized by the most complicated lithospheric structure and the most abundant orogenic type. The study on the crustal magnetic field in the Tethyan orogenic belt is helpful for insighting the tectonic evolution of the crust and the regional dynamic process. In this project, on the basis of the geomagnetic observations from ground, aeroplane, and satellite, we will build the crustal magnetic field model of the Tethyan orogenic belt by means of the revised spherical cap harmonic analysis. By using a geographical information system technique, the initial magnetization model of the crust will be built. Then we will compare the two models and figure out the depth of the Curie isotherm and the susceptibility of the lower crust, and reveal the relationship between the geomagnetic anomally and the lithospheric tectonic evolution in this region. Our project will make us further and roundly understand the characteristics of the crustal magnetic field and the lithospheric tectonic evolution in the Tethyan orogenic belt.
特提斯造山带位于欧亚大陆南部,是地球上岩石圈结构构造最复杂、造山带类型最多的构造域。对特提斯造山带地壳磁场分布的研究有助于认识该地区地壳构造及演化、区域地球动力学过程和地下资源勘探。本项目拟使用地面、航空及卫星磁测资料,采用改进的球冠谐方法和地理信息系统技术,建立特提斯造山带的地壳磁异常模型和地壳磁化初始模型,反演特提斯造山带的居里面深度和下地壳磁化率,揭示特提斯造山带地壳磁异常与岩石圈构造演化的关系。研究结果将使我们全面了解特提斯造山带的地磁异常特征,深入认识特提斯造山带的岩石圈构造演化规律。
