To foster investigations on organelle interaction, which has emerged as a cutting-edge field in biomedical research worldwide, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has launched the Major Research Plan (MRP) named “Organellar interactome for cellular homeostasis”. The plan focuses on studies related to interaction networks among different cellular organelles and their functional implications, forging collaborations among scientists from different disciplines including biological sciences, medicine, chemistry, math & physics, as well as information science, to bolster the leading tread of organelle interaction research of China..To facilitate the execution of the major research plan, we have assembled a steering committee, according to the Guide to Program of Major Research Plans by NSFC. The responsibilities of the steering committee of the current MRP include: (1) Formulate proposals of the MRP; (2) Draft Guide to Program for the MRP; (3) Participate in reviewing panels; (4) Provide consultation for academic exchange activities of ongoing projects; (5) Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and conduct strategic planning; (6) Complete mid-term self-evaluation and report of different stages of the MRP; (7) Complete final end-term self-evaluation, summary of achievements, and strategic report..To further enable these roles of members of the steering committee, we propose the above outlined application, with a dedicated fund of RMB 2000000 for the strategic planning and academic exchange programs directed by the committee.
针对细胞器互作这一新兴的国际研究前沿,国家自然科学基金委员会启动了《细胞器互作网络及其功能研究》重大研究计划,聚焦细胞器互作网络及其功能研究,通过组织包括生命科学、医学、化学、数理、信息科学等多学科的科学家协作研究,使我国在细胞器互作网络研究领域发挥引领作用。为了更好地执行本重大研究计划,根据《国家自然科学基金重大研究计划管理办法》,成立了指导专家组,履行下列职责:1、提出重大研究计划实施规划书;2、提出项目指南建议;3、参加会议评审工作;4、指导在研项目的年度学术交流活动;5、跟踪项目进展,开展战略研究;6、编制重大研究计划中期评估自报告和阶段实施;7、编制重大研究计划结束评估总报告、成果和战略。为使专家组成员继续充分发挥督导作用,特提出本项申请,专项经费200万元将用于专家组调研及组织相关学术交流。
国家自然科学基金委员会于2017年启动了《细胞器互作网络及其功能研究》重大研究计划。在本战略研究计划近两年的执行期间(2020.1-2021.12),指导专家组与管理专家组一起通过召开项目年度交流会、项目会评以及专家组工作讨论会议:1)提出了项目指南建议;2) 参加了会议评审工作;3) 指导在研项目的年度学术交流活动;4) 跟踪项目进展,开展战略研究;5) 总结重要研究进展并完成了本计划的中期评估、并拟定了后期集成方案。通过进行以上指导工作,保证了本重大研究计划的顺利推进实施。
