Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics (RAA) is an international astronomy monthly English journal with Chinese intellectual property rights. It insists on the main propose of the journal: to publish high level recent original research work in astronomy and astrophysics, to promote academic communications between Chinese and foreign astronomers, to serve for developing and flourishing Chinese astronomy. RAA devotes itself to developing a fine style of study and cultivating outstanding research talents. RAA is the further development from Chinese Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ChJAA) and has become a SCI kernel journal from SCIE since 2005. Aiming at attracting international submissions and increasing international fellow scientists as referees, RAA is expected to have at least 40% of the total submissions coming from overseas and a similar international referee rate. We will try hard to attract top experts to write invited reviews with important impacts; publish the IAU General Assembly special issue and the Lamost special issue; improve the academic level and quality of published papers as well as the quality of editing, language and layout; develop a better webpage and improve the web-based manuscript system; do our best to advertise RAA.
Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics (《天文和天体物理学研究》,简称RAA) 是我国具有独立知识产权的国际天文学期刊。RAA坚持“发表高水平原创性最新研究成果,促进国内外学术交流,为发展和繁荣我国的天文事业服务”的办刊宗旨,以培养优秀学风和优秀研究队伍为目标。RAA是ChJAA走向国际化的继续和发展,从2005年由SCIE进入国际天文学SCI刊物之列。RAA将在扩大优秀稿源和增加国际同行审稿率两方面进一步努力,争取实现国际稿源和国际审稿率不低于40%;努力争取有重要影响的特邀评述,组织IAU大会及Lamost(郭守敬望远镜)等主题卷;在实现发表论文的较高学术水平和质量的同时,提高稿件的编辑、语言和排版等编务水平;建设好RAA的网页,改进现有网上审稿系统,利用一切可能的机会宣传好RAA。
