The species belong to Phengaris-Maculinea Clades can hardly disperse to long-distance away, those caterpillars need to be adopted into Myrmica ants colonies to complete their developmental cycle. The Maculinea is a kind of good materials for the study of biogeography. The Phylogeny of the Maculinea species will be reconstructed by combining morphological and molecular data. On this basis, principle of cladistic biogeography will be used to reveals its distribution pattern characteristics, explains the historical process of animal geographical pattern evolution. This project will provide more materials about entomological diversity, also play important role in biodiversity conservation and explotation of entomology.
霾灰蝶属成虫自然扩散能力较弱,幼虫具有寄生蚂蚁的特殊生活方式,是理想的生物地理学研究材料。本项目以霾灰蝶属的种类为研究对象,通过成虫形态特征、结合DNA分子数据,运用支序系统学研究方法,重建霾灰蝶属种间系统发育关系。在此基础上,利用支序生物地理学原理,揭示其分布格局特征,解释动物地理格局演化的历史过程。研究结果将丰富昆虫生物多样性基础,对利用蝶类作为指示物种的保护生物学和生物进化具有重要意义。
