More than 20 newly found mutant genes with typical morphological characteristics or important physiological, genological, developmental or other distinctive inheritable traits were obtained in the investigation of 500-odd domestic silkworm (Bombyx mori) genetic stocks and systems combined with irradiation mutation induction. The basic modes of inheritance of the new genes were made clear by hybridization, and representative mutants of sex-conditioned inheritance and egg color genes of maternal inheritance were discovered. Linkage retrieval and gene mapping with linkage markers identified the linkage groups of 16 important mutant genes and the loci of 14 of them. A marking system for linkage retrieval of 230 marker genes was constructed. Twenty-eight near isogenic lines for the important representative genes in various linkage groups were developed. More than 100 silkworm systems of importance were introduced from Japan. As a result, our silkworm gene bank has been further replenished and perfected and its number of stocks risen to the first place in the world, representing more than 90% of all the silkworm genetic resources available; and the information about the genes of silkworm has been revised. Besides, some new thermo-sensitive lethal systems and polytrophic gene resources were obtained.
对家蚕基因库中重要新突变基因进行连锁定位研究,竣实和修改实验遗传学图谱,全面修定家蚕基因符号、名称和表型的有关资料;进一步完善家蚕基因连锁检索与定位系统,完成形态标记的近等位基因系的育成,将易获得分子标记的突变基因充实到基因连锁定位系统中,为分子遗传图和实验遗传图的整合奠定基础。
