Chinese Physics B

"Chinese Physics B" (formerly "Chinese Physics"), sponsored by Chinese Physical Society and Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is one of the most prestigious periodicals published in China, and ranks the top in Chinese physics journals. The papers published all have received strict peer review and been passed through standard editing process. It publishes original research papers，rapid communications, and reviews on the latest developments and achievements in all branches of physics worldwide except nuclear physics and physics of elementary particles and fields. "Chinese Physics B" is among the Chinese journals first indexed by SCI and currently incorporated in major international indexing systems, such as SCI-CD，SCI-E, CA, INSPEC, JICST, AJ, etc. According to the SCI JCR data, the 2010 impact factor of "Chinese Physics B" is 1.631, which continuously ranks the first in all Chinese physics journals. Among all 80 physics journals worldwide, "Chinese Physics B" ranks the 24th and the 30th in impact factor and total cites, respectively. "Chinese Physics B" has won many honors and awards in China, which include the Award of “Shuang Xiao” Journal (the journal which can produce both social and economic benefits) in 2001, the National Awards for the “100 Key Journals of Science and Technology” in 2001-2005 and 2007, the Elite Internationalized Journal of Minsitry of Science and Technology of China in 2008, and the Elite Journal of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) in China in 2009-2011.

"Chinese Physics B"(前刊名"Chinese Physics")是中国物理学会和中国科学院物理研究所主办的"最年轻"的物理类综合性英文学术期刊，报道和刊登国内外物理学科各领域(粒子物理与核物理类除外)创新性成果的研究论文、研究快讯及前沿研究综述。本刊严格按照国际选稿原则和编辑规范，注重原创性和快速性。本刊是中国最早被SCI收录的期刊之一。据SCI统计，2010年影响因子为1.631，已连续5年居中国物理类期刊第1 位。在国际同类80种期刊中，影响因子和总被引频次分别排名第24和第30位，已连续6年达到国际同类期刊的中上水平。本刊2001年以来多次荣获"百种中国杰出学术期刊"，2008年被评为"中国国际化精品科技期刊"，2009-2011年获中国科协精品科技期刊（A类），2010, 2011年获基金委重点学术期刊资助。

在重点学术期刊专项经费的资助下，"Chinese Physics B"编辑部两年来主要采取了如下一些措施：加大组约优秀稿件的力度，加强对优秀稿件的宣传；每年评选奖励“物理学会最有影响论文”；初审、外审、终审各环节严把审稿质量关，提高稿件评审录用标准；增加海外编委，加大文章送审海外审稿人的比例；加强编辑部网站建设和更新；加强期刊宣传；加强与国外合作发行商英国物理学会出版社（IOPP）的沟通合作、重视编辑队伍建设和人才引进等。取得的主要成果表现为：编辑部的办刊条件和办刊手段有了很大改善，期刊的国际影响力和国际化程度稳步提升，影响因子和总被引频次提升，实现网上预发表，论文发表周期缩短，编辑部人才队伍扩充壮大等。
