As the characteristics of typhoon spiral cloud-band structure and its propagation is concerned, many options and theories that took spiral rain-band as a kind of gravity wave were put forward since 1960's. In recent years, a new option appears, in which typhoon spiral cloud-band is thought of a kind of Vortex Rossby Wave. The results in some numerical simulation indicated that the rotation of the basic flow is the necessary condition for the formation of spiral rain-band, that is, the steady disturbance can be organized into the strip-shape distribution. Some experts considered that the typhoon theory has gone through the following change: from axis-symmetry to asymmetry and then to the fine structure. But for the lack of high-resolution dataset and the limit of technique to detect the inner structure of typhoon, it is difficult to reveal the dynamical features of typhoon spiral cloud-band propagation. .In our research, the TBB dataset and the method of statistic-dynamic analysis together with the high-resolution numerical simulation are used to discuss the evolution and mechanism of the spiral cloud-band during the typhoon's landing process, especially the propagation characteristics and the meso-scale disturbance, the results of which will provide some theoretic foundation for predicting the typhoon disaster distribution..Six papers has been published or accepted, in which two in SCI (one in Chinese Journal of Geophysics, one in Advance in Atmospheric Sciences) and one monograph sponsored by the project was published.
