Double-peaked narrow emission-line (NEL) galaxies/QSOs are objects with the existence of double-peaked structure in the narrow emission lines. It is now widely accepted that most bulge-dominated galaxies host central supermassive black holes (SMBHs) and that galaxies frequently merge with one another. Therefore massive black hole pairs are the natural outcome of mergers through the hierarchical formation of galaxies. While double-peaked NEL profiles can be caused not only by dual active galactic nuclei (AGNs) but also by other physical scenarios. Kinematics such as outflow or rotation of the narrow line region (NLR) can also product double-peaked emission lines. The study of double-peaked NEL galaxies/QSOs provides us with important information on the dynamics of NLRs driven by outflows and a rotating disk, on the dynamics of merging galaxies, on the triggering mechanism of BH activity, on checking the hierarchical growth of galaxies, and on confining the stellar and gaseous dynamical models. This project plans to search double-peaked NEL galaxies/QSOs from the spectral survey of LAMOST and to study their physical properties. Firstly, this project will select double-peaked NEL galaxies/QSOs candidates from massive LAMOST spectra of galaxies and QSOs with a series of criteria. Secondly, this project will analyze the possible dynamical mechanisms on their birth through measuring the spectral parameters. Thirdly, this project will particularly research the physical features of their host galaxies and of the NLRs. Finally, this project will also cross-identify these candidates with other surveys (such SDSS), and make use of the parameters to re-check the reliability of these candidates, to verify the dynamical mechanisms on their birth, and to assistant analyze the physical features of their host galaxies and the NLRs.
