In this project we concentrated on the hardons beyond the na?ve quark model, such as glueballs and hybrid mesons. We have studied their masses, production and decay rates quantitatively. Specially, 1)we calculated the production rate of the scalar glueball in the decay of the meson U 2) we constructed an effective Lagrangian for scalar glueball.With the aid of QCD low energy theorem, we calculated its decay rate to pions. From our calculations, we estimated the gluon content of the glueball candidates .3)We precisely calculated the mass of hybrid mesons with quantum number 1-+ based on QCD sum rules and excluded the possibility of its mass lower than 1.5GeV 4) we are going on the precise calculation of the tensor glueball 5) Our study on the instanton effects on the scalar glueball has preliminary results.
