面向云用户的数据中心最优资源租赁与分配策略研究

How to reduce the resource rental cost and improve the resource utilization is one of the most important problems faced by the cloud user. This problem draws much attention from researchers in both academia and industry. This project studies the optimal resource rental and allocation strategy from the perspective of cloud users. The detailed research contents include: 1) Construct a cloud system model including the model for various kinds of resources hosted by the data center, and a resource rental optimization model for cloud users; 2) For the delay-tolerant workload, build a multi-timescale resource rental and allocation model, design a distributed resource management strategy in the cloud spot market, and study the cost-performance tradeoff of the proposed strategy; 3) For the delay-sensitive workload, propose a learning algorithm and an approximate percentage QoS model to capture the real-time workload characteristics based on function approximation technique, construct a resource rental and allocation optimization model, and design an effective solution method; 4) Build a simulation system to evaluate the scalability and effectiveness of the proposed strategies. The research outputs of this project will shed a light on the basic principle of designing a cost-effective resource rental and allocation algorithm for the cloud users.

如何降低资源租赁成本、提高资源利用率，是云计算系统中用户关注的主要问题之一，引起了学术界与工业界的高度重视。本项目将从云用户的角度出发，研究数据中心的最优资源租赁与分配策略，具体研究内容包括：1）建立云计算系统模型，包括数据中心所包含的各种资源模型，以及面向云用户的资源租赁与优化模型；2）针对云计算系统容时业务的特点，建立多个时间尺度上的资源租赁与分配模型，设计可变实例价格环境中的分布式资源管理策略，并对所提出算法的成本性能折中问题进行研究；3）利用函数近似的方法，建立云计算系统实时业务的百分比QoS近似模型，设计该模型的动态更新学习算法，建立实时业务的资源租赁与分配优化问题，并提出求解算法；4）构建多业务资源租赁与分配实验验证仿真系统，对所提出算法的可扩展性与有效性等性能指标进行评价。本项目的研究成果可用于指导云用户设计低成本、高效率的资源租赁与分配算法，具有极大的学术价值与经济意义。

本项目主要研究云计算系统的资源分配问题。具体研究内容主要包括：1）随机现货实例价格环境中的最优竞价策略研究；2）绿色能源环境中的动态云计算资源定价问题；3）绿色数据中心中的平均温度感知能耗最小化控制策略研究。项目研究以最优化理论、随机过程、以及李雅普诺夫优化等工具为基础，研究了这些问题的模型、求解算法、解的最优性、以及数值评价。本项目的研究成果，对于指导现实云计算运行商的资源定价策略、云用户的资源竞价策略、以及数据中心运营商的能耗优化策略具有一定理论价值和实际意义。
