YuYi Hairless mouse is new strain that is different from nude mice at the structures of their skin and hair mutant genetically. The hairs of this mutant mouse initially show growing normally. At 2-3 weeks old their hairs begin to shed and keep the hairless state all their lives. In the development of YYHL mouse, with the shedding of their hair, their skins on the head and on both side appear wrinkled. They become senile when they are in their prime of life (7-8 months). Their span of life is about 10 months, only half of wild Kunming mice. According to the analysis of genetic spectrum it has been confirmed that the character of hairless is caused by a mutation in an autosomal recessive gene. Proliferation of the hairless mouse only by forced crossing of homozygous male (brother) and heterozygous female (sister) for the homozygous mopther could not raise her baby mouse to grow up to weaning. It is because the mammarian gland of homozygous female could not develop to pruduce milk. The hairless gene of YUYI hairless mouse was located on the No.14 chromosome by ISPCR (in situ PCR). The biological characteristics and hr gene location are similar to rhino mice. Priliminary results show YUYI hairless mouse and his congenic hairless mouse strains, C57BL/6,BABL/c,615和DBA/2 should be a satisfactory model on research of dermatology, immunology, gerontology and other bioscience.
豫医无毛小鼠3周龄开始脱毛,5周龄后全身无毛,并终生不长毛;具有胸腺。脱毛性关分离比例符合3:1的孟德乐定律,只有在隐性纯合子状态帮表现脱毛,属常染凶体上单一隐性基因。选30对种鼠随机交配,建立无毛小鼠近交系。测定其生物学指标和确定其突变基因具有较大的科学价值和理论意义。
