In recent years, the construction of large scale scientific infrastructures in China has come a long way. It has created a favorable environment and good platform for promoting the development of related basic and applied researches in our country and further for racing to world-class achievements. In contemporary experimental physics, the research strives for a higher accuracy, higher sensitivity and more fully measurement, and consequently this requires the development of original and dedicated large instruments. Prosperously, the National Natural Science Foundation starts a major scientific instruments development project. The initiative will inevitably provide more innovative methods and tools for scientific research, for the completion of specific scientific goals, and significantly supply abundant resources for obtaining more innovative achievements. .For the last three years since the start of scientific instruments project, an urgent theme eedd to be discussed is how to produce innovative and dedicated scientific equipments under the guidance of cutting-edge scientific goals in disciplinaries of physics II and significant national needs, and thus enhance the competetiveness of scientific instruments project. With regards to this, many experts in the field propose to organize workshops mainly on mathematical studies and physics II, or workshops on major scientific instruments development strategy in disciplinaries of physics II; in the meanwhile, the dicision makers should strategically refine and discuss constructive ideas on and priorities of major dedicated scientific instruments development project in disciplinaries of physics II in the coming years.
近年来,我国重大科学基础设施建设得到了很大发展,为促进我国相关领域的基础和应用基础研究,争创国际一流成果创造了良好的环境和平台。当代实验物理研究正在向更高精度、更高灵敏度和更完全测量的方向发展,需要研制具有原创性的专用大型仪器设备。国家自然科学基金委重大科研仪器设备研制项目的启动为科学研究提供更新颖的手段和工具,以完成特定的科学目标,取得创新成果提供了很好的资源条件。. 科学仪器项目实施3年来,如何以物理II学科领域的前沿科学目标和国家重大需求为引导,凝炼出创新性的科研仪器设备专项,增强在科学仪器项目中的竞争力等是学界亟需加强研讨的。为此,学科领域的许多专家建议数理学部和物理II学科主导,召开一次物理II学科领域重大科研仪器设备研制的战略研讨会;针对国家大科学基础设施和装置的特点,从战略层面凝炼、研讨和布局今后若干年物理II学科领域重大科研仪器设备研制专项的思路和重点方向。
2013年11月,来自国内24所大学及科研院所的52名专家在广西,参加了由基金委数理科学部主导的、中国科学院近代物理研究所承办的物理II学科领域重大科研仪器设备研制战略研讨会。. 研讨会以7个主题报告为牵引,交流了国内外在本学科的重大科研仪器设备的现状和发展趋势,在深入分析和讨论基础上,针对国家大科学基础设施和装置的特点,从战略层面凝炼并提出了我国物理II学科的重大科研仪器设备研究需要重点关注的关键科学问题以及研制内容;梳理布局了今后若干年核物理、粒子物理、等离子体物理、加速器装置、核技术、同步辐射技术和中子散射技术等领域的重大科研仪器专项的思路和重点方向,达到了会议的预期目的。
