The characteristics of laser that induce stimulated Brillouin scatter effect in optical fiber sensing coil were studied and the relationship between threshold power of the laser and the parameters of sensing coil were obtained. The polarization effect and the polarization stability were investigated and the effective method for improving the polarization stability was educed. The Kerr effect, thermal effect and lockup effect for the stimulated Brillouin scatter fiber optic gyros were studied theoretically and related technique for suppressing these effect were proposed. The parameters of configuration and refractive index profile and manufacture techniques for Ge-rich no-linear single mode optic fiber were analyzed and designed theoretically. The simple of this fiber was manufactured and the parameters of this fiber were measured and the model of the theoretical analysis was modified. The low loss optical fiber couplers for the beam split ratio of 50:50 and 98:2 and the fiber polarizer were manufactured respectively. The fiber Bragg grating with reflective ratio of 20dB and band width (3dB) of 0.056nm was manufactured for filter the excess pumping component at output signal, and the beat frequency signal of the Stokes wave was obtained. The problem of polarization axes cross splice with the degree of 90±0.5°was solved. Based on above efforts, the experimental setup of the SBS-FOG was established and the change of the output beat frequency induced by the rotating rate of the sensing coil was observed. These efforts will make use for the more research of the SBS-FOG.
受激布里渊散射光纤陀螺是第三代光纤陀螺,本项目在研究连续波、窄谱宽、大功率、高稳定性的光纤光源和光纤敏感环中产生受激布里渊散射效应的机理及其偏振效应的基础上,以大功率的光纤光源和高掺锗、细芯径的保偏光纤为主体,研制出受激布里渊散射光纤陀螺实验系统,并提出解决锁定问题的有效方法,从而为这种光纤陀螺的实用化奠定理论基础。
