Based on the morphology, anatomy, system and evolution of the plants of different lineages, and comprehensive floral analyses, this work discusses the phytogeography during Pragian to Emsian of Early Devonian. It studies in detail the composition of Early Devonian Posongchong and Xujiachong floras, Yunnan, China. This work also deals with an important lycopod of Late Devonian age, South China Block. The results of this work are as follows: 1) The newly described plant Polythecophyton demissum Hao, Gensel et Wang changes one of the traditional ideas held by western scholars that plants evolved from the trimerophytes - aneurophytes - seed plants; 2) It is proposed that the zosterophyllophytes of northeastern Gondwana phytogeographic unit in Early Devonian are dominated by the subgenus Zosterophyllum, while those of the Luarussia continent are characterized by the subgenus Platyzosterophyllum; 3) The nature of the Early Devonian Xujiachong flora is clarified, and it is further regarded that the problematic Xujiachong Formation is of Pragian-Emsian age; 4) It is demonstrated that the Xujiachong and Posongchong floras are comparable to some extent; 5) Based on the comparative morphology study, the biological character of Sublepidodendron is clarified. As the result, 8 (5 SCI) papers have been published. Among them there are 4 papers that are included in the important international journals (The impact factor of journal "American Journal of Botany" is 2.5, the impact factor of "Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology" 1.0). There are also 5 international reports. Some important academic results have been achieved.
在已有华南西根期坡松冲植物群研究的基础上,深入研究并对比滇西(中缅-马来亚板块)的同期的植物群,并详查华南艾姆斯期植物群的组成。在研究不同谱系植物的形态和解剖、系统和演化,并综合分析植物群性质的基础上,对早泥盆世西根期-艾姆斯期的古植物地理分区进行讨论。研究不同地理区植物群的隔离、演化与分异,追索陆生植物演化辐射的中心。.
