第八届国际工业与应用数学大会

The International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM) is the premier international congress in the field of industrial and applied mathematics held every four years under the auspices of the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. From August 10 to 14, 2015, mathematicians from around the world will gather in Beijing, China for the 8th ICIAM to be held at China National Convention Center inside the Beijing Olympic Green. The program of ICIAM2015 will include the awarding ceremony of ICIAM prizes, 27 invited lectures, 2400 talks in minisymposia, 300 posters. It is expected that over 3000 experts will participate the congress. Prestigious awards in applied mathematics, including ICIAM Collatz Prize、ICIAM Lagrange Prize、ICIAM Maxwell Prize、ICIAMPioneer Prize,ICIAM Su Buchin Prize, will be delivered. Organization of ICIAM2015 will greatly push forward the mathematics of China and its connections with natural sciences and engineering. The congress is organized by China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, together with The Chinese Mathematical Society, The Chinese Society for Computational Mathematical, The Operations Research Society of China, Chinese Association for Applied Statistics, etc.

国际工业与应用数学大会(ICIAM)是国际工业与应用数学领域水平最高、规模最大、影响最广的盛会，每四年举办一次。第八届国际工业与应用数学大会将于2015年8月10 -14日在北京召开。这是ICIAM首次在亚洲与发展中国家举办。举办本次会议将对我国数学的发展产生巨大深远的影响，极大促进数学与科学技术及国民经济的密切结合。大会的学术活动包括7个获奖报告、27个邀请报告、2400个讨论会报告、300个墙报，参加人数超过3000名。国际工业与应用数学联合会还将颁发国际应用数学的重要奖项：ICIAM Collatz Prize、ICIAM Lagrange Prize、ICIAM Maxwell Prize、ICIAMPioneer Prize和ICIAM Su Buchin Prize。会议由中国工业与应用数学学会牵头，联合中国数学会、中国运筹学会、中国计算数学会、中国现场统计学会等共同主办。

经过近七年的悉心筹备，第八届国际工业与应用数学大会于2015年8月10-14日在北京国家会议中心成功举行。这是该国际会议首次在亚洲、也是首次在发展中国家举行。. 来自国内外70余个国家和地区的3400余位代表参会。大会的学术活动包括邀请及获奖报告26个、公众报告1个、分组报告2924个、展板报告273个。会议的参会人数及报告数均为历届会议之最。国家副主席李源潮出席开幕式并作了鼓舞人心的重要讲话。此外，国际工业与应用数学联合会还在开幕式期间颁发了国际应用数学的重要奖项：ICIAM拉格朗日讲、ICIAM科拉兹奖、ICIAM先锋奖、ICIAM麦克斯韦奖和ICIAM苏步青奖。. 本次会议不仅对我国数学、特别是应用数学的发展具有重要意义，极大地促进数学与科学技术及国民经济的密切结合与相互推动，而且在国际同行及朋友面前很好地展示了我国改革开放以来的飞速发展和精神面貌。
