Observations obtained from CRRES and CLUSTER satellites have been used to investigate the dynamic processes of the earth magnetosphere during storm times from the view point of the behaviours of energetic particles. The studies have been concentrated in the characteristic properties of the particle injection events during substorms, the influence of the solar-cycle to the ring current compositions and the energetic ions observed in the cusp region during a recovery phase of a large storm. Our results demonstrate the important role of the ionospheric origin oxygen ions. Observations show that it is more.likely to have “oxygen-rich” substorm injections together with a flux enhancement of the ions with energy greater than 100 KeV during storm time substorms. The abundance of oxygen ions and helium ions in the ring current are both higher during solar maximum than during solar minimum. Throught a case study, a possible mechanisam which.could trap the energetic particles in the cusp region has been proposed
利用国际最新的CLUSTER和CRRES等卫星资料,通过数据分析和模型计算相结合的方法,从能量离子的角度,以氧离子的时空分布、加速和传输机制、演化过程为突破口,研究磁暴期间环电流的形成机制、电离层的作用以及各种行星际扰动的粒子响应,为磁暴动力学研究作出贡献,对推动我国空间天气学研究有重要意义。
