Graphene is a kind of two-dimensional crystal made of monolayer carbon atoms. Now, two-dimensional crystal containing several layers of carbon atoms is also called graphene. It exhibits great application potential in many fields, such as field emission material,super capacitor,fuel cell,efficient catalyst,electrochemical device and so on. .This project mainly focuses on producing the graphene that contains several carbon atom layers by using hydrogen arc discharge method. We will find the optimal synthesis condition, study the growth mechanism and develop the mass-production techniques for getting highly pure and highly crystalline graphene sample. We want to figure out the relationship between the number of carbon atom layers and the growth condition of graphene, observe the atomic structure of graphene edges and obtain the localized quantum states, prepare the nanostructure of Si-SiC-Graphene and study their field emission characteristic. We will also reveal the law between the morphology and structure of graphene and electromagnetic transport properties, and investigate the electromagnetic transport mechanism of graphene.
石墨烯是由单一碳原子层构成的二维晶体,具有比硅高得多的载流子迁移率,是验证量子效应和纳米电路的理想材料。现在,"由碳原子所构成的具有几个原子层的二维晶体"也被称为石墨烯。这种石墨烯在应用上具有极大的潜力,可用作场发射材料,用于超级电容器、燃料电池、高效催化剂、电化学器件等诸多领域。.本项目采用直流氢电弧放电法制备含有数个原子层的石墨烯,寻找石墨烯的最佳生长条件,探索石墨烯的生长机理,开发石墨烯的大量制备技术。研究石墨烯碳原子层层数与生长条件的关系,观察石墨烯边缘处的原子结构,获取局域电子态信息,制备Si-SiC-Graphene纳米结构,研究其场发射性能。研究石墨烯的电阻、磁电阻、霍尔系数等与温度、磁场的变化关系,揭示石墨烯的形貌、结构与电磁输运性质之间的规律,探索石墨烯的电磁输运机制。本项目的研究结果不仅对石墨烯的生长机理、电学性质的理解有重要意义,也对石墨烯的应用研发奠定可靠基础。
