21世纪物理学前沿学术研讨会

The Chinese Physical Society (CPS) was founded in August 1932. In the past 80 years, CPS has made remarkable achievements, which contribute to the development and talent training for the physics community in China. CPS therefore has been awarded many times by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). In the year 2012, CPS plans to organize "The 21st Century Physics Frontier Symposium" for commemoration of the 80th anniversary of CPS. The Noble Laureate in Physics, famous physicist C. N. Yang, Qi-Kun Xue from Tsinghua University, Nan-Lin Wang from the Institute of Physics Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xiao-Gang Wen from MIT,US, Shou-Shan Fan from Tsinghua University, Yi-Fang Wang from the Institute of High Energy Physics Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guang-Can Guo from the University of Science and Technology of China and Qi-Huang Gong from Peking University are invited to give talks on the symposium. During the meeting, CPS will sponsor a joint meeting of international physical societies, to exchange information as well as have a deep discussion on future collaborations between the physical societies.

中国物理学会成立于1932年8月。多年来，中国物理学会取得了令人瞩目的成绩，为我国物理学事业的发展和人才培养做出了突出贡献，曾多次获得上级主管单位——中国科协的表彰与奖励。2012年中国物理学会迎来八十华诞，常务理事会讨论决定，举办“21世纪物理学前沿学术研讨会”以示纪念。学术研讨会将邀请诺贝尔物理学奖得主、著名物理学家杨振宁，清华大学薛其坤，中国科学院物理所王楠林，美国麻省理工学院文小刚，清华大学范守善，中国科学院高能物理所王贻芳，中国科技大学郭光灿，以及北京大学龚旗煌等就当前物理学前沿领域作精彩的学术报告。同时，还将举行“中外物理学会负责人联席会议”，就今后如何开展国际物理学会之间的交流与合作等问题进行深入探讨。

中国物理学会成立于1932年8月，2012年中国物理学会迎来八十华诞。为纪念这一重要的历史性时刻，中国物理学会在清华大学隆重举办了“21世纪物理学前沿学术研讨会”。学术研讨会邀请诺贝尔物理学奖得主、著名物理学家杨振宁，清华大学薛其坤，中国科学院物理所王楠林，美国麻省理工学院文小刚，清华大学范守善，中国科学院高能物理所王贻芳，中国科技大学郭光灿，以及北京大学龚旗煌等就当前物理学前沿领域作了精彩的学术报告。与研讨会同时举行了“中外物理学会负责人联席会议”，就今后如何开展国际物理学会之间的交流与合作等问题进行深入探讨。另外，中国物理学会组织编写出版了《中国物理学会八十年》一书，并在学术研讨会上举行了首发式。此次研讨会作为一次高层次、大规模的学术交流暨纪念活动，取得圆满的成功。与会者聆听了著名物理学家的精彩报告，交流研讨了物理研究的最新进展和前沿领域，见证了老一辈物理学工作者朴素端正的学术风气、稳重务实的科学态度，同时跟国际物理组织进行了广泛的交流，这些对于鼓励青年学生投身物理学事业，扩大中国物理学会的国际影响力，加强学会的凝聚力，推动学会进一步健康发展具有积极重要的作用。
