Because halogenated carbons have various purposes in industry and engineering, their thermophysical properties are very important and are widely studied. In this project, based on the analysis about the principle and technique for thermodynamic property measurements of fluids, a series accurate experimental data of thermodynamic properties, such as PVT property, speed of sound, surface tension and vapor pressure, for some new halogenated carbons were obtained, and their virial coefficients were also drived and correlated. Especially distinguished progress was gotten in the thermodynamic property studies for 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-hepatafluoroparopane (HFC-227ea).
